Bryn Dunbar

Bryn Dunbar is an experienced GIS professional with a strong background in spatial analysis and map creation. Currently serving as a GIS Analyst and previously as a GIS Technician II at Fairbanks North Star Borough since January 2012, Bryn coordinates basemapping functions within the GIS Division. Prior experience includes working as a Visual Data Specialist at Google, where responsibilities involved adding vector data to maps and ensuring quality control, and as a Cartographic Technician with the National Park Service, where Bryn honed GIS and GPS skills. Additional roles include serving as a Resource Advisor during the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and interning with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bryn holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Central Washington University.
