Cory Beal

Cory Beal, CPPO, NIGP-CPP, has worked as the Chief Procurement Officer for Fairbanks North Star Borough since January 2018. Prior to this role, Cory served in the United States Air Force as a Contracting Officer from November 2005 to November 2017. In this position, Cory provided acquisition oversight and performance management, negotiated contracts, advised senior leadership on best practices, and drove cost-cutting efforts.

Cory Beal, CPPO, NIGP-CPP holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Full Sail University (2013) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, Government Contracting from Trident University International (2007-2010). In addition, they obtained the NIGP-CPP certification from NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement in February 2023.
