Thomas Poffenberger is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design and analysis, particularly in aerospace and military applications. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Fairchild Controls since June 1998, Thomas specializes in stress, vibration, thermal analysis, and the design of vapor cycle and environmental control systems, as well as turbomachinery and power electronics. Prior experience includes a role as a Contract Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, focusing on mechanical design for underwater vehicles, and as a Senior Engineer at Harris Corporation, where Thomas worked on aerospace structures and electronics. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, earned in 1982.
