Kevin Brightwell

Kevin Brightwell is an experienced backend software engineer currently leading a team at Faire since October 2020, focusing on scaling catalog management tools by extracting critical components from a Kotlin monolith. Prior to this role, Kevin worked at Magnet Forensics as a Senior Software Developer, where responsibilities included technical leadership on forensic IO projects and mentorship of junior developers. Kevin's earlier experiences include a Graduate Student Researcher role at Western University, where a Master's degree in Engineering Science was completed, and numerous software development internships at reputable companies like IBM Canada and Bloomberg LP. Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Hardware Engineering and another in Computer Science, both from Western University.
