James Quigley is an experienced business leader with a diverse background in economic development, entrepreneurship, and technology solutions. Currently serving as Commissioner and Chairman of the Board for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority since July 2016, James has been instrumental in promoting Fairfax County as a prime business location. As an Entrepreneur In Residence at Osage Venture Partners, James supports the growth of B2B software companies. Co-founding Refraction, an innovative co-working space in Northern Virginia, and GoCanvas, a powerful platform transforming work processes, demonstrates James's commitment to fostering collaboration and technological advancement. Additionally, James has held significant roles with the Washington West International Film Festival, Virginia FREE, and various positions within the wireless mobility solutions sector, including executive roles at inCode Wireless, VeriSign, and Aether Systems. James holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
