Elissa Levy

Elissa Levy is an experienced educator currently serving as a Physics and Computer Science Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, where Elissa developed the inaugural 9th grade physics program at a Title 1 public school in Manhattan. Elissa also holds the Early Career Fellowship from Math for America, participating in workshops focused on STEM instruction. Previous roles include Computer Science Teacher and Curriculum Designer at Upperline Code, where Elissa taught full-stack web development, and Curriculum Writer for Rising Academy Network, developing a three-year physics curriculum for schools in Sierra Leone. Elissa's earlier career encompassed positions at Bridgewater Associates and D. E. Shaw & Co., where Elissa managed transformative initiatives and contributed to investment analysis and project management. Elissa received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Yale University and a Master of Science for Teachers degree in Science Teacher Education from Pace University.
