Karen Howell

Karen Howell is an experienced music educator and owner of Karen's Music Studio, providing instruction in violin, viola, and piano to students of all ages and abilities. Since September 2019, Karen has worked with Fairfax County Public Schools as a Strings Teacher and Music Teacher, while also serving as a Substitute Teacher. With a teaching career that spans over a decade, Karen has been involved with multiple music institutions, including Lessons In Your Home, International School of Music, and Music and Arts, among others. Karen's performance experience includes playing as a violist with String Poets for weddings and events. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music, both in Viola Performance from New England Conservatory of Music and San Diego State University, respectively.
