Karl Frisch (he/him/his) was elected to the Fairfax County School Board in 2019, ultimately garnering more votes than any candidate for that office in Providence District's history and becoming the first openly LGBTQ person elected to local office in Virginia's largest county.
Before joining the School Board, Karl earned a national reputation as a skilled communicator and effective public policy advocate in the nation's capital on a host of issues ranging from consumer financial protection, land conservation, and immigration reform to student lending, voting rights, and government corruption.
