Mendi Blue Paca's work experience begins in 2003 as a Strategy Analyst at A.T. Kearney, followed by a role as a Securities Compliance Analyst at Goldman Sachs from 2004 to 2006. Mendi then worked as a Summer Associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 2007, and as a Management Consultant at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in 2008. In 2009, Mendi founded both Blue Venture Consulting and Project Matchmaker. Mendi joined The Center for Effective Philanthropy in 2012, where they held the positions of Manager, Strategy Landscape, and Manager of Strategic Initiatives (President's Office). From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Director of Labor Relations and Director of Development and Policy for the City of New Haven. In 2016, Mendi became the Chief Strategist and Political Director for Marcus Paca's mayoral campaign. Their most recent role is with Fairfield County's Community Foundation, where they started as the Vice President of Community Impact in 2018, then became the Chief Community Impact Officer from 2020 to 2022, and currently holds the position of President & Chief Executive Officer.

Mendi Blue Paca completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Harvard University from 2000 to 2004. From 2006 to 2010, Mendi Blue Paca pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at Harvard Law School. Additionally, from 2007 to 2010, Mendi Blue Paca earned an MBA degree at Harvard Business School.
