Anthony Dowd

Anthony Dowd has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Anthony is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield-Maxwell Ltd., a privately held industrial holding company with global operations in shipping, construction services, and oil and gas. Anthony has been in this role since February 2017.

Prior to this, Dowd served as the Director and Treasurer of The Volcker Alliance, a position they held since April 2013. Anthony also briefly served as the Interim President of the organization from June 2015 to July 2016.

Dowd has held board positions in various companies, including Magseis Fairfield ASA, where they served as a Director and Chairman of the Compensation and Talent Committee from April 2020 to November 2022. Anthony was also a Member of the Board of Directors for Future Pipe Industries, a global manufacturer of fiberglass pipe systems, from April 2010 to April 2019.

Additionally, Dowd has served in key advisory and leadership roles for organizations such as the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), where they were a Member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Appointments Committee from January 2017 to December 2021. Anthony also worked closely with Paul Volcker, former Chairman of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board, as Chief of Staff and Special Assistant from February 2009 to May 2015.

Before their work in the private sector, Dowd served as a Captain in the United States Army, leading armored units and serving as a staff officer.

Throughout their career, Dowd has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in various industries, making valuable contributions to the organizations they have been associated with.

Anthony Dowd attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering with a field of study in Mechanical Engineering. Anthony then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at The Wharton School from 1986 to 1988, focusing on Finance, General.
