Ruvinda Gunawardana

Ruvinda Gunawardana, Ph.D., is a Senior Architect/Engineer at ASML in Wilton, Connecticut, since November 2008, specializing in the development of mechatronic subsystems for next-generation semiconductor lithography tools. Additionally, Ruvinda serves as an Adjunct Professor at Fairfield University, where a Robot Kinematics course is taught to senior and graduate students, including mentorship on innovative projects such as a myoelectric-controlled prosthetic hand. Previously, Ruvinda held the position of Senior Engineer at Schlumberger, focusing on improving product yield using lean six sigma principles, and began a career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Rice University, contributing to robotics education and research. Ruvinda earned a Ph.D. in Robotics from Rice University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
