Samuel Cohen

Samuel Cohen has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2016, they worked as a Data Science Intern at Oracle for two months. In the following year, they were a Machine Learning Intern at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. for three months. In 2018, they served as a Summer Researcher at the National University of Singapore, focusing on neural-based Bilingual Automatic Speech Recognition. Samuel worked as a PhD Research Scientist at Facebook AI from June 2021 to March 2022. Currently, they are the CEO of Fairgen, starting in March 2022. Samuel is also a Mentor at Techstars, starting from March 2023.

Samuel Cohen began their education by completing their Baccalauréat Français at Lycée Francais de Singapour from 2012 to 2015. Samuel then enrolled at Imperial College London and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, which they completed from 2015 to 2018. Following their undergraduate studies, Samuel attended the University of Oxford from 2018 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Statistical Science. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in Machine Learning at UCL, which they started in 2019 and is expected to finish in 2023.
