David D. Flaherty Jr. is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in health inspection and emergency preparedness. Currently serving as Health Agent for the Town of Fairhaven and the Town of Marion since 2020, Flaherty reviews Title 5 septic system design plans and conducts inspections for food service establishments and swimming pools. Flaherty also holds positions on the Executive Board for the Bristol County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition and the Massachusetts Environmental Health Association. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant and Interim Town Administrator in Raynham, where responsibilities included addressing local and regional issues and overseeing public health budget management. Flaherty earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Cape Cod Community College.
