Corran McArthur is a seasoned engineering geologist with extensive experience in geotechnical project management and ground investigations across various infrastructures, including highways, railways, and contaminated sites. Corran began as a Graduate Engineering Geologist at W.A. Fairhurst & Partners from December 2002 to April 2004 and progressed to roles such as Senior Engineering Geologist and Project Engineering Geologist at Fairhurst from January 2007 to March 2013, leading significant projects including the Forth Road Bridge investigation and rock slope remediation in the South Atlantic. Corran's tenure culminated in roles as Technical Director and Technical Manager, overseeing a team of 25 professionals and managing large-scale geotechnical frameworks for organizations like Network Rail and Historic Environment Scotland. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Engineering Geology with Distinction from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a BSc (Hons) in Geology & Applied Geology from the University of Glasgow, along with postgraduate studies at the University of Alberta.
