Thomas Zack, MBA, CIC has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Thomas began their career in 2001 as a Senior Underwriter and Broker for USG Insurance Services, Inc., where they developed an MS Access based system for tracking new business, Agency activity, and Underwriter production. In 2003, they became the President of Creative Risk Solutions, LLC, where they developed, implemented, and managed a newly formed Excess & Surplus Lines Brokerage operation. In 2006, they moved to American Safety Insurance as a National Business Development Manager, where they developed and implemented a small account builders risk program and a Restaurant/Bar/Tavern Package Program. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Manager of MGA/Small Business Unit at Wood Special Risk Brokers, LLC, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the MGA & Small Business Unit division. In 2011, they held two roles, as a Senior Underwriter and System Construction and Professional Program Implementation Executive at Aon Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. / K&K Commercial Solutions, and as a Regional Business Development Manager at Veracity Detection (a division of Veracity Network, Inc.). From 2010 to 2018, they worked at Houston General Insurance Exchange as Vice President Product Development and Compliance. In 2020, they became the Vice President Underwriting and Program Management at Transportation Insurance Experts (TIE). Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Head of Underwriting at Fairmatic, an Insurtech 2.0 company.
Thomas Zack has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business, obtained in 2020. Thomas also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Leadership and Operational Management from Kennesaw State University, obtained in 2017. Thomas's educational experience also includes a Business Administration program from Oakland University, obtained in 1987. Additionally, they attended Bloomfield Hills Lahser. Zack holds a Master's Program certification from Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business, obtained in 2020, as well as a Non-Resident P&C Agent and Surplus Lines Agent - Most States and U.S. Territories certification from Various Dept of Insurance Offices, obtained in 2011. Thomas also holds a Licensed Resident P&C and Surplus Lines Agent - Georgia certification from Georgia Depart of Insurance, obtained in 2010, and a Certified Insurance Councilor (CIC) certification, obtained in 2005.
