Francois Menard has extensive work experience in various roles related to corporate security and communication. Francois started their career as a Communication Advisor at CERIU from 1999 to 2001. Francois then worked as a Communication Director at Ordre des urbanistes du Quebec from 2002 to 2006, where they focused on developing partnerships, implementing new management approaches, and responding to media requests.
In 2006, Menard joined Garda as an Investigator in Corporate Security. During their time there, they conducted investigations on fraud, loss of control, and the interrogation of suspects. Francois also collaborated with financial institutions to develop procedures that enhanced security without incurring direct costs.
From 2013 to 2023, Menard worked at Bell in various roles. Francois served as a Specialist in Security and was responsible for the security posture of Bell's assets. Francois also managed projects related to access control and detection. In their subsequent role as an Investigator in Corporate Security, Menard investigated security and workplace violence incidents within the organization, while also undertaking prevention activities and promoting security behavior across different business units. Finally, Menard held the position of Senior Manager in Physical & Personnel Security, where they oversaw the management of physical security specialists across Canada and ensured the appropriate security measures were in place for Bell's assets.
Recently, Menard accepted the role of Director of Corporate Security at Fairstone Bank, starting in 2023.
Francois Menard attended the University of Ottawa from 1995 to 1997, where they earned a Bac degree in Communications with a focus on Interpersonal & Organizational studies. Prior to that, they completed their DEC in Management at Cegep de Saint-Hyacinthe from 1992 to 1995. There is no information regarding their education history before Cegep de Saint-Hyacinthe. In terms of additional certifications, Francois Menard obtained a Secret level II certification from the Canadian Government in July 2020 and became a Certified Firearm Instructor through Smith and Wessons in September 2012. Francois also completed a course titled "Développer des présentations d'affaires efficaces" offered by PrezExpert Inc., although the exact completion date is unknown.
