Andrew Olivier is an experienced professional with a robust background in sustainability, organizational development, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Board Advisor for Fairtrade International and Pick n Pay, as well as a Board Member for Impendulo, Olivier contributes to the growth of socially responsible organizations. As the Founder of the Centre for Transition, Olivier focuses on promoting sustainable practices and healthy living. Additionally, Olivier holds various roles within the Global Ecovillage Network, including Ambassador and member of the Advisory Circle for Oceania & Asia, aiming to foster self-sufficient, ecologically-minded communities. Formerly involved in the Narara Ecovillage and the Leadership Circle for GEN Australia, Olivier has a solid educational foundation in archaeology from the University of Cape Town.

Fairtrade International is a non-profit, multi-stakeholder organization made up of member organizations around the world. It is responsible for the strategic direction of Fairtrade, setting the Fairtrade Standards and supporting producers in developing countries.Our mission is to connect disadvantaged producers and consumers, promote fairer trading conditions and empower producers to combat poverty, strengthen their position and take more control over their lives. Our vision and mission will be reflected in the values by which we work as an organization so that we ourselves set an example for the changes we seek in others. Therefore we will work collaboratively and seek to empower those who wish to be partners in our mission.
