Guzal Matniyazova is a seasoned project manager at Fairtrade International since June 2012, where primary responsibilities include coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives aimed at strengthening the governance of the Fairtrade system and enhancing support for producers and workers globally. The role encompasses leading the “Unlocking the Power of Producers and Workers to Drive Inclusive Trade and Development through Fairtrade” project, as well as managing the 'Trade Fair Live Fair' project focused on promoting sustainable consumption and production in Europe. Prior experience includes co-founding and serving as finance manager for the KRASS Khorezm Rural Advisory Support Service NGO in Uzbekistan, and working as a research assistant at the Center for Development Research, supporting projects on land and water use restructuring. Guzal holds a Diploma in Project & Quality Management from the London School of International Business and a Bachelor's degree in Romance-Germanic Philology from Uzbek State World Languages University.
