Cassie Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cassie started their career at Kenyon Industries, where they worked as a Research and Development Intern and later as a Fabric Technician. In these roles, they contributed to the development of new dyeing processes and ensured the implementation of environmentally friendly practices in the supply chain.
After their time at Kenyon Industries, Cassie joined Ralph Lauren as a Costing and Allocations Associate/Assistant. Here, they were responsible for handling costing and line plan responsibilities for multiple brands, conducting seasonal meetings, and negotiating with agents to ensure cost-efficient and high-quality products.
Cassie then moved on to become a Production Manager at Ralph Lauren, where they achieved high on-time delivery rates, minimized garment scenarios, and optimized overage/shortage procedures to improve fill rates.
Following their tenure at Ralph Lauren, Cassie worked at Bernard Chaus, Inc as a Production Manager. In this role, they collaborated with overseas vendors and internal departments, managed cross-functional teams, and purchased and allocated materials for on-time delivery.
Currently, Cassie is the Director of Operations at Fairy Tales Hair Care, Inc. Here, they oversee the coordination of activities between various functional areas of the business and ensures the timely updating and maintenance of manufacturer timelines and action registers. Cassie also manages ERP inventory transactions.
Throughout their career, Cassie has demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills, as well as a commitment to efficiency and quality in production processes.
Cassie Shapiro earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising & Design from the University of Rhode Island. Cassie also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian from the same university. In 2010, they attended the Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici for a study abroad program focused on Fashion and Italian Studies.

Fairy Tales Hair Care is a one of a kind hair care line that takes people on a journey to salon quality hair care. Because head lice had become so common on long island, the salon owner created the first rosemary repel shampoo. I worked with the manufacturer to develop a cleaner, ecological version of the shampoo, as well as a wonderful conditionerand start leaving detangling spray, and began selling it to NYC salons. I would offer to place it in salons as they walked through manhattan streets. Moms fell in love with their products because they gave them confidence in not just preventing head lice, but also because of the outstanding results they provided. They were on the way to retailers including target and bed bath and beyond.
