Dr Varun Katyal

Dr Varun Katyal has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, spanning over 15 years. Dr Varun currently serves as the Director of Operations at Fakeeh University Hospital since March 2020. Before joining Fakeeh University Hospital, Dr Katyal held various leadership roles at Burjeel Holdings, starting as the Director of Operations at LLH Hospital from February 2012 to February 2017. Dr Varun then served as the Regional Director Abu Dhabi from March 2017 to January 2019, and later as the CEO for Dubai & Northern Emirates from February 2019 to February 2020. Prior to their time at Burjeel Holdings, Dr Katyal worked at Max Healthcare as the General Manager Operations from February 2006 to January 2012, and at Fortis Healthcare as the Executive Operations from June 2005 to January 2006.

Dr. Varun Katyal has an extensive education history in the field of healthcare management and leadership. Dr Varun completed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Santosh Medical College in Ghaziabad, India, between 1996 and 2002. Following this, they pursued an MBA in Hospital Management from the Institute of Health Management Research in Jaipur, India, from 2003 to 2005. In 2016, Dr. Katyal attended the Columbia Business School Executive Program in Management, specializing in Strategy and Leadership. Additionally, they completed the Middle East Healthcare Leadership Programme at INSEAD Abu Dhabi in 2016. Dr. Varun Katyal is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, further highlighting their dedication to healthcare administration and management.
