John Ruffino

John Ruffino has extensive experience in the education sector, currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for Falls Church City Public Schools since November 2019. Prior to this role, John held several positions at Northern Virginia Community College from September 1991 to June 2019, including Special Assistant To The President and Executive Director of a $24 million 501 (c)(3) foundation, where responsibilities included raising private funding for the college and its students. John also served as Associate Director of Alumni Affairs for the University System of Maryland from 1981 to 1991. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Public Relations from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government & History from Marquette University.
