Chief Executive Officer at Families & Communities Rising (FCR)

Terry David, MSW has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Starting in the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst from 1988 to 1993, Terry was responsible for analyzing data and providing intelligence support. Following that, Terry worked as a District Manager at Kelly Services from 2004 to 2012, overseeing operations, managing budgets, and leading recruitment efforts. In 2012, Terry became the Director of Head Start at the Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA), where they managed the program's budget and ensured compliance with regulations. Terry then moved on to become the Director of Head Start & Early Head Start at Families & Communities Rising (FCR) in 2014, overseeing a large nonprofit organization and working with the board of directors to create strategies and goals for the organization. In 2017, Terry transitioned to the role of Director, Head Start & Early Head Start in Durham, NC, where they focused on promoting services for children and families and building positive relationships with community agencies and partners. Finally, in 2021, Terry joined North Carolina Central University as an Adjunct Professor. Throughout their career, Terry has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic planning skills while making a positive impact in various organizations and communities.

Terry David holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from North Carolina Central University, with a focus on Social Work. They also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Administration from the same university. In addition, Terry has obtained a certification as a Certified Pre-K CLASS Observer from Teachstone in May 2016.
