Amanda Kurz, LCSW, has extensive experience in adoption and foster care services, currently serving as an Adoption Social Worker at Families First since March 2014. In this role, Amanda spearheads partnerships with DFCS Regions, conducts training for adoptive families, and manages the adoption process from orientation through placement. Prior experience includes roles as Heritage Adoption Program Coordinator at Lutheran Services of Georgia, where Amanda led training and assessments for potential adoptive families, and Specialized Foster Care roles, focusing on recruitment, case management, and advocacy. Amanda holds a Master of Social Work and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from The University of Georgia, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Additionally, educational accomplishments include graduating as salutatorian from Starr's Mill High School.
