Berten Van Kerkhove

Berten Van Kerkhove possesses extensive experience in healthcare management and leadership, currently serving as a member of the General Assembly for Familiezorg Oost-Vlaanderen and WZC Kanunnik Triest Melle since June 2024, while also holding the position of General Group Director (CEO) for Zorg-Saam ZKJ since July 2021. Previously, Berten was the founding chairman of the Care Council in the Gent first-line zone, where the focus was on improving coordination among local healthcare providers, and contributed as a jury member for a social innovation fund with the City of Gent. Other notable roles include being a member of the strategic advisory council for Zorggezind and serving in various management capacities at Familiezorg Oost-Vlaanderen, focusing on family care and communication. Additionally, Berten has experience in academia as a management educator, and involvement with Kom op tegen Kanker, offering guidance on healthcare initiatives. Berten's educational background includes an advanced management program from Vlerick Business School and postgraduate studies in health and welfare management from EHSAL Management School.
