Family Building Blocks
Founded in 1997, Family Building Blocks (FBB) is the 501(c)3 certified Relief Nursery in Marion and Polk counties committed to "Keeping Children Safe and Families Together." Family Building Blocks partners with parents with young children who are facing overwhelming life circumstances through the most specialized, intensive, free, and voluntary services. The only organization of its kind in its community, Family Building Blocks provides a safe and supportive parenting community to families facing overwhelming life circumstances. Each year, Family Building Blocks supports over 1,200 children and 800 families through three core programs: therapeutic classrooms, home visiting and parenting education. Annually, 99% of children enrolled in these prevention programs are able to avoid foster care and remain living safely with their families. Over 100 employees, 400 volunteers and 1,500 donors are dedicated to these services that nurture children, support parents, and strengthen families.
