Elisha Porter, AMFT, is a dedicated social worker and therapist currently employed at Family Care Network, Inc. since October 2022. Porter previously served as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Community Counseling Center SLO, where 500 direct contact hours were accumulated counseling individuals, couples, and families under the supervision of Bob McAfee, LMFT, and Sandra Buck-Moyer, LMFT. Education includes a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Cuesta College.

Mission: To enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community. The Family Care Network is a 501(c)(3) private, nonprofit children and families services provider. Established in 1987 for the purpose of creating family-based treatment programs as an alternative to group home or institutional care for children and youth, the agency, nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, operates 20 distinct programs designed to strengthen and preserve families and individuals impacted by trauma. * In the agency’s 28 year history, our programs have grown to serve over 1,500 children, youth and families annually in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. * Programs are delivered in five service divisions, including: Resource (Foster) Family Services; Family Support Services; Education Support Services; Transitional Age Youth (ages 14-24) Services; and Community-Linked Services. * All agency programs are based on Best Practices, Wraparound Principles and evidence-based or promising practices. * The Family Care Network values integrity, accountability, program fidelity and outcome-based services.
