Family Health Center
Esmeralda Gordillo MSW currently serves as a Community Education Specialist at the Family Health Center since December 2018. Prior experience includes a role as a Disaster Case Manager with the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church from April 2017 to 2018 and as an E3 Initiative Liaison for the City of Hattiesburg between February 2015 and 2016. Esmeralda obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from The University of Southern Mississippi from 2016 to 2019, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the same institution from 2013 to 2015, and an Associate of Arts degree from Jones College from 2011 to 2013.

Created in 1971, Family Health Center's mission is to provide excellent health care to anyone who walks through our doors, regardless of their income level or insurance benefits. Our board-certified physicians are specialists in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology and dental. Our mid-level providers allow us to accommodate acute and same-day appointments to avoid overuse of emergency rooms. Our mission is to ensure quality health care with dignity for all of Kalamazoo county. Currently, our patients number more than 50,000 a year.
