Alyssa Barney

Alyssa Barney has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare and social services. Alyssa is currently serving as the Medical and Dental Patient Services Supervisor at Family HealthCare since September 2022. Prior to this, Alyssa worked at Churches United, where they began as a Shelter Supervisor in January 2019 after Churches United merged with Dorothy Day House. In this role, they led a team of eight advocates, managed scheduling and shift coverage, and ensured smooth operations at the shelter. Before that, Alyssa worked at FM Dorothy Day House of Hospitality as a Lead Shelter Advocate from April 2018 to January 2019. Alyssa'sresponsibilities included assisting community members with their basic needs, such as meals, showers, and laundry, and ensuring their safety. Alyssa's earlier experience includes working as a Residential Specialist II at Centre, Inc from April 2016 to April 2018. In this role, they conducted searches, managed court referrals, and facilitated a group for women called Responsive Risk Reduction for Women.

Alyssa Barney pursued a field of study in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Social Science Emphasis at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
