Family Legacy
Family Legacy is a faith-based, Christian, God-led organization that exists to glorify God by empowering vulnerable children in Zambia to live out their God given potential. We do this by engaging more than 10,000 individuals and families from around the world with God’s heart for these children, face-to-face and heart-to-heart, through the power of God’s word, quality education and residential care. With over 15,000 Zambian children attending one of our private Legacy Academy schools, Family Legacy is not an orphanage or a missionary organization or an economic development organization. We are a unique NGO focused on caring for orphaned and vulnerable/at-risk Zambian children on a variety of levels, and are guided by our faith in that calling. In Zambia, Africa, over one million of the six million children are orphaned and countless more are vulnerable from the effects of poverty, lack of education, HIV/AIDS, and community rejection. We connect American families to these children to alleviate both physical and spiritual poverty. We seek to transform the nation of Zambia into a lighthouse for Africa through sharing the Gospel of Jesus, providing high-quality private education, and by placing it's most vulnerable children in a safe home and community.
