Renee Willemsen-Goode's work experience begins in 2003 as a 4th-grade teacher at PS 3, The Bedford Village School. In 2004, they transition to Community Partnership Charter School as a 5th-grade teacher. In 2005, they join Family Life Academy Charter Schools as a 5th Grade Lead Teacher. From 2008 to 2011, they serve as a Data Specialist and Middle School Specialist at the same school. In 2011, they become a Consultant for the school until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they take on the role of Network Data Specialist. In 2016, they become the Director of Data and Assessment until 2017. From 2017 to 2021, they serve as the Executive Director of Academics at Family Life Academy Charter Schools. Finally, in 2021, they become the Chief Academic Officer at the same institution.

Renee Willemsen-Goode has a strong education background in the field of education and administration. Renee obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Education from Swarthmore College, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, Renee pursued a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University, which they completed from 2004 to 2007.

Renee further enhanced their knowledge and skills by completing a Certificate program in Administration and Supervision at Hunter College from 2009 to 2011. This program focused on developing their expertise in administration and supervision within educational settings.

In addition to their formal education, Renee has obtained significant certifications that have augmented their qualifications in the education field. In 2003, they obtained the NYS Pre Kindergarten, Kindergarten And Grades 1-6 Certificate from the New York State Education Department. This certification has enabled their to effectively teach students within these grade levels.

Furthermore, in 2011, Renee acquired the NYS School District Leadership License, also from the New York State Education Department. This license has equipped their with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead and manage school districts.

Through their comprehensive education and certifications, Renee Willemsen-Goode has built a strong foundation in education, curriculum and instruction, administration, and leadership, making their well-equipped for various roles within the education sector.
