Family of Kidz
Madison Thornton is an experienced Occupational Therapist currently working at Family of Kidz and Blue Sea Educational Consulting, Inc. since October 2022. Prior experience includes a role as an Occupational Therapy Student at The Children's Center of UCP and MOMENTUM AT SOUTH BAY FOR REHAB AND NURSING, where Madison managed caseloads and developed treatment interventions for diverse age groups and diagnoses. Madison has a background in research, having worked as a Research Support Specialist and Research Lab Coordinator at Gene Expression and Vulnerability to Depression (ADEPT) and the Social Developmental Neuroscience Lab, focusing on data collection, participant recruitment, and training undergraduate research assistants. Madison holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution.

At Family of Kidz, we bring together highly qualified teams of professionals that work diligently to help individuals with special needs, from birth through adulthood. Our focus is on establishing a strong understanding of the individual’s needs and teaching them skills that lead to greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. Our multi-disciplinary team provides a wide-variety of therapeutic and educational services that include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), special instruction, and related services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and mental health services. As a team, we are committed to helping those with special needs overcome barriers to progress and develop new skills.
