Chenoweth Allen

Chenoweth Allen, ATR-BC, LPAT, is an experienced art therapist with a diverse background in providing art therapy services in various settings. Currently serving at Family Scholar House since February 2011, Chenoweth Allen facilitates art therapy groups and individual sessions for single parents striving to break the cycle of poverty through education. Additionally, since January 2009, Chenoweth Allen has worked with Kentucky Refugee Ministries, offering art therapy groups for mothers who are newly resettled refugees. Previous roles include providing weekly art therapy sessions for middle school and elementary boys at West End School from September 2011 to May 2018, as well as leading art therapy groups for children and adolescents at Kosair Children's Hospital from August 2009 to December 2013. Chenoweth Allen's educational background includes an MEd in Counseling & Personnel Services with a focus on Expressive Therapies from the University of Louisville and a BA in Art History from Williams College.
