Deborah Watrous is an experienced nonprofit professional currently serving as a Foundations Consultant and Grants Manager at FamilyAid Boston, where responsibilities include managing the grants program to support families facing homelessness. Previously, Deborah held the position of MA Director of Philanthropy at FoodCorps, focusing on developing funding for school health initiatives in Massachusetts. With 24 years at New Hampshire Humanities, including 13 years as Executive Director, Deborah championed the humanities in addressing contemporary public issues. Additionally, Deborah has served as a Board Trustee for The Concord Chorale, Inc., and as Secretary for the Board of Directors at Leadership NH. Deborah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a major in music from Kirkland College and a Master’s Degree in Music with a focus on vocal performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

As the longest-serving provider of solutions to family homelessness in Greater Boston, we offer a combination of time-tested and innovative solutions to keep families in their homes whenever possible, provide shelter when needed, and support families to sustain housing over the long term. FamilyAid provides shelter, housing, and hope to more than 700 families each year, including more than 1,500 children.
