Louise Cavanaugh Sciannameo

Louise Cavanaugh Sciannameo is currently the Director at Familylinks. Louise has held this position since August of 2012. Prior to their current position, Louise was the Vice President of University Communications and External Relations at Carlow University from October 2004 to August 2012. Before their time at Carlow University, Louise was the Corporate and Foundation Relations Director at The Pittsburgh Mercy Foundation/Pittsburgh Mercy Health System from August 2001 to November 2002. Louise has also worked as the Executive Director of Executive Communications at the University of Pittsburgh from November 2002 to October 2004, as well as the Communications Manager/Team Leader from August 1998 to June 2001. Louise's career began at Mellon Financial where they worked as an Assistant Officer/Marketing Coordinator from June 1994 to August 1998. Lastly, before their time at Carlow University, Louise was the Public Relations Manager for the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University from August 1991 to June 1994.

Louise Cavanaugh Sciannameo holds an Executive Certificate in Negotiation from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, an Advanced Certificate in Strategic HR Management from Cornell University, and a Certificate in Crisis Leadership in Higher Education from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Louise also holds an MLA from Chatham University and a BA (magna cum laude) in English/Secondary Education from John Carroll University. Additionally, Louise Sciannameo is a certified vocal performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a High School graduate from Shaker Heights High School. Louise also holds certifications from the Emergency Management Institute in Social Media in Emergency Management and NIMS Communications and Information Management, as well as from The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators in Managing Critical Incidents for Higher Education Institutions: A Multi-Disciplinary, Community Approach.
