Randy Stokes is an experienced technology professional with a career spanning several decades in software engineering and systems architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer/Architect at FamilySearch, Inc. since March 2007, Randy leads the architecture of a scalable digital preservation system aimed at preserving genealogical data and imagery for future generations. Prior to this role, Randy worked as a Consulting Software Engineer at Novell, Inc., where design and implementation of file systems for server products were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes a position as a Senior Developer at WordPerfect Corporation and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Eyring Research Institute, contributing to notable automation projects for 3M and Apple Computer. Randy holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
