Michael Petersen

Michael Petersen, CFE, CAMS has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michael currently holds the position of VP, Payments and Fraud at FanDuel since April 2022. Previously, they worked at eBay as Vice President, Global Customer Service from February 2020 to March 2022 and as Head of Customer Service Risk Operations from May 2018 to February 2020. Prior to eBay, they served as a Ceritified Quarterback Coach at National Football Academies from November 2016 to December 2021.

Before that, Michael held various positions at Dell Financial Services, including Director of Consumer & Small Business Customer Care and Fraud Operations from September 2014 to May 2018, Global Transformation Director, Risk Operations & Risk Management from May 2011 to September 2014, Director of Fraud Prevention from August 2008 to May 2011, and Sr. Fraud Policy Manager from April 2006 to August 2008.

Michael began their career at Citibank in 2001, starting as a Fraud Investigator and progressing through various leadership roles in the fraud operation and policy organizations. Michael managed fraud programs for major retailers such as Macy's, The Home Depot, Zales, and Dell, among others. Michael'stenure at Citibank lasted from July 2001 to April 2006.

Prior to that, Michael worked at Proffitt's (Saks 5th Ave) as a Loss Prevention Manager from May 1999 to June 2001 and as a Loss Prevention Detective from December 1996 to May 1999.

Throughout their career, Michael Petersen has gained experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, customer service, coaching, and loss prevention.

Michael Petersen, CFE, CAMS earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University in 1999. Michael also holds additional certifications including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) obtained in 2013, and Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) obtained in 2012.
