Christine Lebel

Christine Lebel is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in various leadership roles, currently serving as Vice President of the Controller's Shared Service at Fannie Mae since November 2001. Leading a team of over 200 professionals, Christine focuses on large-scale finance transformation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, managing a project portfolio with an annual budget of $50M - $75M. Previous roles at Fannie Mae include Vice President of Financial Services Special Projects, where Christine accounted for a $200M+ strategic initiative, and Director-level positions in Financial Reporting and Securities Accounting. Prior to Fannie Mae, Christine held financial planning and analysis roles at U.S. Office Products and Sallie Mae Holding Corporation and began their career as a Staff Accountant at Laventhol & Horwath. Christine earned an MBA from the Kogod School of Business at American University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Longwood University.
