Marcus W. Cole is an experienced professional in housing finance and community development, currently serving as the Director of Future Housing Leaders at Fannie Mae since July 2018. In this role, Cole spearheads a diversity recruitment program aimed at amplifying racial, ethnic, and gender diversity in summer internships, successfully engaging with educational institutions and establishing strategic partnerships. Previously, from 2010 to 2018, Cole held multiple positions at Fannie Mae, including Lean Management Change Agent and Non-technical Project Manager, where efforts focused on process improvement and technology project leadership. Cole’s early career included roles as an Assistant Football Coach at The Catholic University of America and a Community Development Practitioner at the Community Preservation and Development Corporation, where relationship-building and program design in affordable housing were key responsibilities. Cole earned a Master of Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Interdisciplinary from the University at Buffalo.
