Emily Bales is a Geoarchaeologist and Senior Archaeologist at Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc. since January 2017, specializing in various archaeological projects, including Phase I to Phase III Data Recovery and Construction Monitoring. With extensive fieldwork expertise, Emily employs diverse methodologies to identify and document cultural resources, leveraging advanced technology such as GPS and mobile data collection tools. Prior roles include positions at Albion Environmental, Inc., Garcia & Associates, ICF, g2, Holman and Associates, and ASM Affiliates from 2014 to 2019. Emily holds a Master of Professional Studies in Cultural and Heritage Resource Management from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from UC Santa Barbara, and an Associate of Arts in Anthropology from Cabrillo College, along with a Graduate Certificate in Cultural and Heritage Resource Management from the University of Maryland.
