Rick Den Bakker

Rick den Bakker is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in global logistics and category management. Currently serving as Procurement Category Manager for Global Logistics at Farm Frites since October 2019, Rick oversees logistics categories such as ocean freight, road transport, customs, cold storage, and pallets, managing a spend of €130 million annually. Prior to this role, Rick held positions at Vopak as Global Category Manager, leading the design and management of equipment categories, and at NewPort Tank Containers, where responsibilities included negotiations for ocean freight and tank lease, overseeing a combined spend of $110 million per annum. Additionally, experience includes roles with De Rijke Logistics where foundational procurement and customer service skills were developed. Rick's academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Globalization from University Inholland Delft and specialized training in negotiation and logistics.
