Sam Green

Enrollment Director at Farm & Wilderness Foundation

Sam Green first came to Farm and Wilderness in 2011, when her (then) fiancé, Meghan brought her along to Fair. Sam swore that day she'd never use a kybo, but the next summer found herself a member of the staff at the Barn Day Camp, joyfully teaching four-year-old campers how to use kybos, among other skills. Sam eagerly returned summer after summer, becoming the head of work projects, and eventually an assistant director of the Barn Day Camp. Now as a member of the year-round staff, Sam is excited about the opportunities this affords her not only to get to know so many more campers and families but for the extra perk of year-round goat visits! She is also excited for the opportunity to work for an organization that sees and celebrates one’s whole self and all their many multitudes and works actively to foster spaces for all to learn, grow, and have fun. Sam grew up in a suburb of Rochester, NY, studied Theatre Arts & Philosophy at Hartwick College, and received her Master's degree in Arts Administration from Castleton University. She is fluent in American Sign Language (as a child of deaf adults), an avid thrift store shopper, bow tie enthusiast, and a technology tinkerer. She lives in Shrewsbury, VT with her wife, Meghan, and their cats, Ninja & Kitten, and ball python, Guen.
