Raja Sharif

Raja Sharif has held several positions in the technology and media industries over the past two decades. Raja began their career in 1999 as Director of Legal Affairs at Globix, where they sat on the European executive board and managed all legal affairs, including HR on an interim basis. In 2003, they joined British Telecom PLC as Senior Legal Counsel in the Global Services Division, where they were involved in global company reorganization and large multijurisdictional outsourcing transactions. Raja also sat on the executive board of the company's Media and Broadcast division, and drafted and negotiated the world's first DTH platform outsourcing agreement. In 2005, they became Director of Legal Commercial Affairs at COLT, and in 2007 they became Legal Adviser to the Director General at Al Jazeera Network. From 2008 to 2013, they held the position of Deputy CEO at BarwaMedia, where they established the company to implement a Smart City in Qatar. Raja was responsible for budgets, headcount, and timelines to manage various initiatives. From 2013 to 2014, they were Strategy Implementation Manager at AJ+, and from 2014 to 2017 they were Chief Executive Officer at FarmaTrust. In 2020, they founded ATMPS. As Founder and CEO of FarmaTrust, Raja drove the company's vision and mission to bring new technologies and digital, datacentric approach to managing healthcare companies. By using Blockchain technology, FarmaTrust is creating a transparent, auditable, secure, global system to track genuine pharmaceutical products, providing confidence to patients and medical practitioners worldwide.

Raja Sharif attended the University of Nottingham from 1993 to 1994, where they obtained an LL.M in International Trade, Finance and Banking. Raja then attended the Inns of Court School of Law from 1991 to 1992, where they obtained a Call to the Bar in Bar. Lastly, they attended the University of Hull from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained an LLB in Law.
