Alexander Pharmakis serves as the Sustainability Manager for the City of Farmers Branch since December 2020, bringing extensive experience in sustainability and environmental initiatives. Previously, Alexander held multiple roles in the City of Plano from September 2016 to December 2020, including Senior Sustainability Outreach Coordinator and Recycling Education Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed advancing sustainability programs, facilitating community outreach, and managing recycling efforts. Alexander also contributed as a Graduate Student Consultant at Circle of Blue, focusing on groundwater and related sectors, and as an Administrative Assistant at Community Impact, supporting various organizational functions. Alexander's foundational experience includes environmental health and safety roles at Texas A&M University. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience from Texas A&M University.
