Kit Barron has a diverse range of work experiences in the agricultural and technology industries. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Crew Member for the Appalachian Mountain Club. In 2004, they became an Analyst at NAVSTAR Advisors. From 2006 to 2010, they were the Regional and Area Programs Manager at Harvard University. In 2010, Kit joined Grupo Altex as an Agricultural Economist, where they designed a logistics platform and served as an Economist-on-loan to Consejo Nacional Agropecuario. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Managing Director at CapLog Group, where they led the international strategy consulting practice. In 2012, Kit also began working as an Investor/Advisor for Trace and Trust, a source-to-fork informational ecosystem for the food industry. From 2014 to 2020, Kit held various roles at The Climate Corporation, including Product & Head of UX Design and Strategy. In 2020, they joined FarmTogether as a Data & Product professional. Starting in 2021, Kit became a Product Advisor at FarmWise and is presently serving as the Head of Data Science & Analytics at Farmer's Business Network, Inc.

Kit Barron completed their Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Latin American Studies and Economics from Middlebury College in the period from 2001 to 2005. After that, between 2009 and 2011, they pursued their Masters of International Business (MIB) degree in Global Food Business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Kit Barron attended Marin Academy from 1997 to 2001. It is also noted that they returned to The Fletcher School at Tufts University for further education, although specific information regarding the degree and field of study is not provided.
