Kelly Boswell

Kelly Boswell has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Most recently, they served as the Head of Reliability and Cloud Security at Farmers Edge, starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Reliability and Web Services at the same company from November 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Farmers Edge, Kelly worked as a Software Engineering Manager at the company from August 2021 to November 2021.

From 2014 to 2021, they worked at NTT Security as a Software Engineer III, where they provided software solutions for a near-real-time and analytics Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). Their responsibilities included designing, developing, and maintaining several major backend software components, as well as managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

Kelly also has a notable military background, having served in the United States Army Reserve as a Staff Sergeant. Kelly served in Operations Joint Guardian (Kosovo) in 2000 and Enduring Freedom (Iraq) in 2003, and retired from the Reserve in January 2020.

Earlier in their career, Kelly worked at Raytheon as a Senior Software Engineer I. In this role, they provided object-oriented software design for the Joint Polar Satellite System Common Ground System (JPSS CGS). Their work involved developing and customizing software for various government agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, and NOAA. Kelly contributed significantly to the implementation of the Cross-Track Infrared Sounder Sensor Data Record (SDR) Algorithm in C++.

Kelly Boswell holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which was obtained between 2017 and 2021. Prior to that, Kelly obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from the same university between 1999 and 2007. Kelly's high school education was completed at Fremont Senior High from 1995 to 1998. In addition to the formal education, Kelly has obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2020, and certifications in Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014.
