Mary Carter is an experienced hospitality professional with over 25 years in the industry. As the Managing Partner at Founding Farmers since October 2010, Mary has played a pivotal role in the restaurant's success and operations. Prior to this, Mary served as the General Manager at The Cheesecake Factory from March 1997 to October 2010, where key management skills were developed and honed.

Our collection of restaurants is owned by more than 40,000 family farmers of the North Dakota Farmers Union, serving American inspired food and drink with an emphasis on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere., that doesn’t mean we know every farm, and that doesn’t mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain; it does mean we’re working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We’re serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty. Currently, our restaurants include flagship location Founding Farmers DC, MoCo's Founding Farmers, Founding Farmers Tysons, Founding Farmers King of Prussia, Founding Farmers Reston Station, Founding Farmers and Distillers, and Farmers Fishers Bakers.
