Laura Beal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Laura most recently worked as a Human Resources and Office Manager at Farmhouse Delivery starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Special Education Math Teacher at Round Rock ISD from 2015 to 2022, where they customized curriculum, analyzed student data, and utilized technology to enhance student engagement. Laura also worked as a Special Education Math Teacher at AISD from 2010 to 2015. Earlier in their career, they had roles such as Financial Instructor and Resident Assistant at College Living Experience, Academic College Tutor - Math Specialty at College Living Experience, Teacher at Heritage Institute of Language Arts, and Teacher Assistant - Math Tutor at Austin Independent School District. Additionally, they volunteered as an AmeriCorp VISTA Volunteer at Sustainable Food Center and worked as an SAP Systems Analyst at Hewlett Packard (Compaq).
Laura Beal attended the Texas McCombs School of Business from 1997 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems. Following this, they enrolled in the Presidential Honors Program at San Antonio College for two years from 1995 to 1997. Lastly, Laura pursued further education at Texas State University, completing a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Education between 2005 and 2010.

Farmhouse Delivery
Farmhouse Delivery is the only all-local food delivery service in Austin. Members enjoy weekly or bi-weekly bushels of local fruits and vegetables - delivered to their home or office - and have the option of ordering additional locally sourced food (e.g. organic eggs, meat, dairy products, bread and artisanal cheese). Unlike traditional CommunitySupported Agriculture (CSA) programs, Farmhouse Delivery sources its food from many farms, guaranteeing that each bushel contains a unique assortment of the freshest local produce.
