Farmington Community Library
Kristel Sexton is an accomplished librarian with a strong background in children's services and youth programming. Currently serving as the Head of Children's Services at Farmington Community Library since October 2019, Kristel previously held the position of Youth Services Librarian II at Ypsilanti District Library from June 2013 to October 2019, where major accomplishments included running diverse storytime programs, chairing the Early Literacy Committee, and successfully securing over $175,000 in grants. Prior experience as a Children’s Librarian at Albion District Library involved overseeing staff, managing collections, and organizing numerous educational programs. Kristel holds a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in English, Communications-Journalism, and Political Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Farmington Community Library is a public space providing free services to those who live, work, or go to school in Farmington and Farmington Hills, Michigan. FCL serves its community with two locations: FCL Farmington and FCL Farmington Hills. The Library offers collections of items available to check out at no charge to FCL cardholders, free events for all ages, and services that address evolving community needs.
