Harriet Bell has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Harriet started their career in 2009 as a Marketing Intern at APN Online, where they gained knowledge in marketing strategies and conducted research on similar businesses globally. In 2011, they joined The Small Business Company as an Online Sales and Marketing Assistant, responsible for selling online content to banks in the United States. In the same year, they also began working at Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited as a Key Card Accounts Manager, managing relationships with strategic partners. Over the years, they held various roles at Farmlands, including Card Partnership Manager, National Business Development Manager - Card, and Shareholder Relationship Manager. In these roles, Harriet developed proactive sales strategies, managed strategic partners, and analyzed and developed strategies for new business opportunities. In 2021, they co-founded Hemprino. Harriet's experience showcases their expertise in sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, and project management.

Harriet Bell's education history includes various programs and courses. In 2018, they completed the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme at Lincoln University, where they studied provenance strategy, leadership, the future of agriculture, and innovation. From 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Operations Management at the University of Canterbury. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced Social Media Marketing from the New Zealand Marketing Association, focusing on social media. In 2016, they received a Certificate in Rural Servicing from PrimaryITO. Additionally, in 2014, they undertook a course on Fundamentals of the Electricity Industry in New Zealand at Brightstar Training. Finally, from 2002 to 2007, they completed NCEA Level 3 at St Matthews Collegiate.
