Peter O'Brien

Peter O'Brien has a diverse work experience in data analysis and management. Peter started their career as an Information Analyst at Statistics New Zealand in 1997. Peter then worked at the Canterbury District Health Board as a Senior Information Analyst and later as the Information Analysis Manager. In 2012, Peter joined Spark New Zealand as a Senior Reporting Analyst, where they provided reporting and analysis support for various processes and new initiatives. After that, they worked as a Planner/Analyst at Hawkins, contributing to the Christchurch rebuild project. Peter then joined Synlait Milk Limited as a Business Intelligence Developer, responsible for daily support and development of the BI solution. Currently, they are working at Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited as a Senior Insights Specialist, providing information and analytics solutions and managing a team of Data Support Specialists.

Peter O'Brien obtained a Master's degree in Management Science from the University of Canterbury between 1991 and 1994. Peter also attended John Paul II High School, although specific dates and degrees earned are not provided. In terms of additional certifications, Peter has obtained several Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals in 2021, Exam 768: Developing SQL Data Models in 2019, MCSA: SQL 2016 Business Intelligence Development - Certified 2019, and Exam 767: Implementing a Data Warehouse in 2018.
